Aleut Expands into Energy and Retail Sectors – Alaska Business Magazine
RDI’s business operations become the core of Aleut’s newest subsidiary, Aleut Energy, led by Nick Goodman as president. Goodman brings more than twenty years of leadership experience across renewable energy, government contracting, and hospitality industries.
The acquisition brings no layoffs or restructuring. RDI’s senior leaders, including Jeremy Lane and Eddie Davidson, remain with the company, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity of operations. Lane will step into the role of Aleut Energy senior vice president. Founders Rob and Karlene Richards will stay engaged during the transition period, supporting operations before stepping into retirement.
“I am grateful to see RDI join a corporation that shares our values of community, quality, and innovation. Aleut is the right partner to carry our mission forward, and we’re confident in the future success of the business,” Rob Richards says.
RDI includes three business lines that will transition under Aleut Energy:
- Renewable Energy Systems: Providing on- and off-grid energy and power management and storage solutions tailored to Alaska’s unique needs.
- Arctic Home Living: Offering premium hot tubs, saunas, cold plunges, various home spa accessories, and solid customer service across Alaska.
- Alaska EcoWater Systems: Specializing in water treatment systems for residential and commercial customers.
